Land Is What Connects Us

Our Vision

Founded in 1975, the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy (PRLC) protects over 550 acres of undeveloped land, as owner or through conservation easements, under our management. Today, our footprint includes 20 preserves, three conservation easements, and over 12 miles of hiking trails — and growing!

PRLC serves as a leader and resource for environmental stewardship within the Pound Ridge community. We achieve this mission by:

  • Promoting community-wide conservation through workshops, hands-on volunteer sessions, guided hikes, and other educational forums. View our events calendar here.

  • Training and educating the next generation of conservationists through summer intern programs, mentoring and guidance, hands-on projects and volunteer opportunities. Volunteer or intern with us here.

  • Distributing instructional resources and reference materials to help our community manage their impact. Read our perspectives here.

  • Partnering with local and regional land conservation organizations and the Town of Pound Ridge on land preservation issues, outreach, and education. Check out our partners here.

We welcome private, tax-deductible donations of land and conservation easements to permanently preserve undeveloped land and safeguard the rural character of Pound Ridge.
