PRLC Calendar of Walks/Talks

Join local naturalists, PRLC Board members and others for a series of guided walks. All walks are on Weekend mornings or early afternoons and meet at the parking lot for each preserve or project location. Children welcome unless noted otherwise.

Clark Preserve

Join naturalist and board member Brenda Bates on an informational walk with a purpose: we will be working with the GPS to capture the geographic coordinates for the eight established study plots at the 70-acre Clark Preserve located off Autumn Ridge Road.

Halle Ravine Preserve

Join naturalist and board member Brenda Bates for a guided winter wonderland walk at the Halle Ravine Preserve located off Trinity Pass.

Our winter wonderland walk may reveal some early spring emergent plants. Spring peepers may surprise and greet us. Meet Brenda at the trail-side kiosk.

Richard’s Preserve

Join a PRLC board member for a guided walk on the newly established trail at the Richard’s Preserve off Honey Hollow Road.

Russell Preserve

Join us for our second annual birding expedition at the Russell Preserve at the intersection of High Ridge Road and Upper Shad Road at the high point of migration. Bring your own binoculars!


Saturday, June 5, 10am

Clark Preserve

Join Forrester Andy Hubbard and PRLC board members for an educational walk highlighting the rationale and elements of a forest management plan for portions of the Clark Preserve located off Autumn Ridge Road.


Upcoming Project

lsaacson Fen

Early morning and late afternoon during the last week in July and the first week in August, PRLC board members and volunteers will continue our work at the lsaacson Fen cutting phragmite invasive plants from established study plots in this environmentally sensitive and important habitat in our backyard. Bring gloves and clippers. Meet at Dogwood Lane off of Donbrook Road.
